Our resurfacing process restores proper flatness and finish to all cylinder heads, meeting OE specs and MLS gasket standards.

From bent or burned valves to stem and face refinishing, we inspect and repair or replace to restore full function. Refacing the valve face ensures a proper seal against the valve seat. We also butt valves to ensure correct clearance with the lifters and other valve train components.

The three angles are typically a 45-degree “seat” angle for the primary seal, a 30-degree “top” cut to help airflow into the combustion chamber, and a 60-degree “throat” cut to smooth airflow as it enters the seat area. This method is popular for high-performance engines because it improves flow, especially at low and mid-lift valve positions, resulting in increased power.
